For the 4th year, the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC) in collaboration with Bank Indonesia together with the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology will hold IN2MF Front Row Paris on 2-3 September 2023 at The Westin Paris – Vendôme, Paris. IN2MF Front Row Paris will showcase the beauty of Indonesian rich culture in innovative, stylish, and sustainable designs. This collaborative activity accelerates in promoting Indonesia as a modest fashion hub at the center stage of international fashion.
During a media gathering and press conference, Ali Charisma Chairman of IFC said, “Through this synergy, we target to get far more global acknowledgment in promoting the creativity designs of Indonesian designers, as well as introducing Indonesia as the modest fashion hub to potential buyers at one of the centers of international fashion in Paris. This year, we are more confident presenting and showcasing the true colors and values of Indonesia through the extensive collections. We will be showcasing a total of 21 brands and designers from Indonesia.”
Not only fashion, this year IFC through IN2MF will collaborate with Ivan Gunawan’s cosmetic line-up brand and make-up artist from Paris to support the fashion shows. Ivan said, “Ivan Gunawan Cosmetics is a brand with a complete range of make-up suitable for all women’s skin tones and types. The brand has gained global recognition with women consumers from 69 countries worldwide.”
Some of the participating designers, each will showcase 10 fashion designs taking inspiration from the Indonesian archipelago. For instance, Ivan Gunawan takes inspiration from the Majapahit kingdom, Kami from Kain Endek Bali, Khanaan from Garut woven combined with cubism art deco, while Hikmat Fashion with joyful fashion in black powerful colors.
The participating designers are Itang Yunasz, Khanaan, Kami, Syukriah Rusydi, Sanet Sa bintang, Wening Angga, Thiffa Qaisty, Anggia Handmade, DedenSiswanto, Hikmat Fashion, Oleanderbyribie, Rose.Ma.Lina X Sofie, BBPPMPV BISPAR X SMKN 4 Balikpapan, Lidia Hadiwinoto, Shannelom Yuma, Binus International Fashion Design, Sofie, Ali Charisma, and Ivan Gunawan. Also presenting two young emerging designers; 14-year-old Michelle Liu and 10-year-old Chatrine Liu, will highlight their collection with inspiration from the Sriwijaya kingdom and Jepara motifs.
